2024 Cheer Season Information
2024 Cheer Levels:
· 3rd grade cheer – see below for more information
· 4th grade cheer - cheering for TBD
· 5th grade cheer - cheering for TBD
· 6th grade cheer - cheering for TBD
· 7th / 8th grade cheer - cheering for TBD
**NOT both games but for one or the other. TBD once schedules received
Cheer registration includes cheer camp, a cheer shell, a cheer skirt & a Morristown cheer tee.
Uniform is to be returned at the end of the season, the t-shirt is yours to keep! Tees will be given out during practice in August.
3rd Grade Cheer: Welcome to your first cheer of cheer, we are so excited to have been able to keep our 3rd grade cheer team!!! You will participate as your own cheer team but there is no longer a 3rd grade tackle football team so we had to make some adjustments. You will have the same camp and practice schedule as all teams but you will only be cheering at home games. Your routine will open for the E level football team and you will be cheering during parts of the first half of the E teams game. The coaches also have a few things in the works as well. More in detail information will be sent in the coming weeks but we wanted to give you a little insight on what your season has in store.
Uniform Fitting and Accessory Order Details:
§ Cheer Essentials are to be purchased on your own by first game, required items are as follows:
ü Proper white cheer sneaker
ü maroon briefs/boyshort
ü white performance long sleeve white top/midriff/bodysuit
ü plain black leggings
ü white no show ped socks
· Poms & Bows – will be sold at practice this summer *email with dates & info will be sent
· Cheer online store for customized items *a link will be sent next week during camp
ü Cheer fleece w/ name (required 4th-8th, optional for 3rd)
o Cheer backpack (optional)
o Cheer Hooded Sweatshirt (optional for all cheerleaders & fans, suggested for 3rd if won’t have a fleece but can wear a plain grey sweatshirt or fleece)
· Uniforms – we will size them over the summer at practice for their shell/skirt and send them home before the first game. We will email notice of days so the cheerleaders can wear a dry bathing suit, leotard or top/shorts.
We are partnering with MHS Varsity Cheer Team for our cheer camp again this season!!!
Cheer Camp is will be 3 evenings this summer TBD
*Note: we will have a quick end of camp performance for parents TBD.
An email with additional first day camp information will be sent on Monday so please be sure to check email.
Cheer practices begin the week of August 12th at Simons Park Field in Morris Plains
August practices: Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 pm - 7pm
September & October practices: Wednesday only from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
****important note, ALL days & times subject to change with as much notice as possible
Games will begin the weekend of September 7th
1 game per weekend, times & locations to be determined
**schedules will be updated as they are released from league in late summer/early Sept
Parent Coaches, you will receive an email with your rosters this week and some additional information. We ask that you please reach out to your teams to introduce yourselves. We will be having a brief meeting during camp to go over a few basics and answer any questions you may have.
IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION INFORMATION!!!!!!!!
All information on the website will be the most up to date so it will be your best initial reference. Emails will be sent intermittently from the club or cheer program as it changes. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours to see any updates sent by email to be reflected on the website. We are working on getting cheer access to make our own changes so I hope changes can be much quicker in the near future. Once the season begins, you will also receive emails more regularly from your teams coaches.
