Team Parent: Head coaches will be asking for parents to get involved. I will need the following volunteers throughout the season:
HOME GAME VOLUNTEERS:
field prep, 3 people to hold sideline chains, help set up concession stand, 50/50 raffle, announcer, spotter for the announcer, work concession stand
6th, 7th and 8th grade:
same as above excluding field prep
same as the 5th grade excluding field prep but adding field tear down/clean up.

Parents MUST bring a copy of the following to the equipment hand out :
1. Birth certificate
2. Most current report card (3rd quarter grades since you won't have year end grades)
3. If you just moved to the school district and did not attend the Morris School District this year, you MUST bring a letter from the district that your child will be attending school in Morristown/Morris Plains for the 2019-2020 school year.
Reminder:You MUST be registered and paid in full in order to receive equipment.

*The first day of tackle practice is Monday, August 19 from 6:30-8:30 pm. The teams will practice on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until Aug 29th
*Starting the week of Sept 2 practices will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6:30-8:00pm (this may change to 8:15pm) for the remainder of the season.
All practices will be at Cornine Field.
Equipment to wear:
WEEK 1 (players must always wear athletic cup)
Monday and Tuesday, August 19 and 20- practice jersey, shorts, cleats, mouth piece.
Wednesday and Thursday, August 21 and 22- helmet, shoulder pads, practice jersey, shorts, cleats and mouth piece.

Required purchase(s) by parents-
1. Girdle (with 5 piece pads- tail, hip and thigh pads)
2. WHITE practice pants (must be white)
3. Cleats (must be molded cleats, NO SCREW ON CLEATS
4. Mouth piece
Please bring a water bottle with your name on it to EVERY practice. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Now that Cornine Field is completed, our intent is to play two home games on Saturday (this will depend on field availability) and two on Sunday for a total of four home games during the regular season. However, most of our AWAY games will be played on Sunday. However, the final game schedule along with our opponents will be available the first week of September.

Weather/Cancellations:Football is played in the rain provided there is no thunder and lightning. However, an email will be sent by 6:00 pm if practice is canceled. Therefore, check your email before you leave for practice.
** Reminder- NJSYFL rules: Player must have 20 practice hours before they can participate in their first game. Please plan your family vacations accordingly. Please arrive to practice 10 minutes early so we can get started immediately at 6:30 pm. I encourage any and all parents to stay and watch practice. If you decide to stay, please utilize the Streeter Pool parking lot ONLY.
If you decide to stay and watch practice, PLEASE STAY IN THE BLEACHER AREA AND NOT ON THE PRACTICE FIELD.
